Gnosis Chain Weekly: On 30 November, just prior to the Bellatrix hardfork, Gnosis Chain started receiving a significant amount of transactions from a number of addresses. After approximately an hour, this resulted in some nodes starting to lag behind the network. As a result, the network started to experience high levels of gossip traffic due to fork blocks, resulting in nodes entering a period of high resource utilization. The Nethermind team has released a 1.14.7 hotfix that reduces gossip traffic on the network to alleviate the high resource utilization on Execution Layer nodes. On the same day, at 19:36 UTC, Gnosis underwent the Bellatrix hardfork upgrade for its Consensus Layer network. According to bordel.wtf, a website tracking the Gnosis merge, on the 7th of December at 23:44hrs UTC the Gnosis Beacon Chain will merge with Gnosis Chain.
